The focus of this paper will be a symptom list and treatment history grounded on the case study created in Content 1. A detailed description of the symptoms that fit the anxiety and trauma complaint with a co-occurring dependence will be given. The relationship between trauma and the use of addicting substances will be bandied. The trauma that John suffered at his age is having a significant negative impact on his life, affecting his family and his employment. Symptoms That Fit the Anxiety and Trauma Complaint With Co-occurring Dependence In content one, a case study was created grounded on John.

In this case study, John is shown to be flaunting symptoms that present as anxiety and trauma complaints with a co-occurring dependence. He’s drinking to excess. The inflexibility of his drinking is affecting his family and particular connections, as well as his employment. John is passing agonies, wakefulness, and restlessness. He has had trouble concentrating and has endured feeling empty, along with agitation and frustration. John states that there’s a family history of alcohol abuse. Age, gender, social status, race, race, or sexual exposure has no bearing on how trauma affects a person.

People who have been through traumatic gests constantly reply with violent passions of fear and helplessness (A.P.A., 2013). A person’s gests may vary, including how they eat and sleep, how they interact with others, how they choose to ignore or concentrate on painful recollections, how their connections change, and how important alcohol or other mood-altering medicines they use. Cognitive responses include effects like ruminating, obsession, obliviousness, and trouble fastening. In the case of John, he exhibits numerous of the symptoms listed but is motivated to change. Summary
